Tango is cross platform video chat program that can currently be found on Android, PC, iOS and Windows Phone. It's a great alternative to Skype and would be amazing if it made it to the playbook and subsequently BB10 phones: Find out more about Tango here: Home - Tango

There is a campaign going on to bring Tango to the playbook and the more users that support it, the better.

Sign the twitition to bring it to the Playbook: twitition - Tango App on BlackBerry Playbook

Voice your support in the feature request section of the Tango website. Be sure to vote for it as well as leave a comment: Tango Support for BlackBerry PlayBook : Tango Support Center

i posted at their support site back in November but have not heard a word from them since. The thread has been picking up alot of steam lately so maybe they will listen and perhaps give a hint whether there is any development happening or planned. It looks like a great solution.

i think when you start a tango thread, you should put video chat in parentheses so ppl know what it is

I have this app on my iPhone and love it! I also had it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab (android) before I got my PlayBook. I would LOVE to see it on BB. I'm gonna go do my part now and sign/like/share whatever I can!

I have heard it needs access to the camera and mic first.

My whole family uses this. iPods to pc when the kids want to talk to mammaw, pc to pc when I need my mom(my), my wife and kids went down to the in-laws over the four day holiday and we will be using it alot. When I had my Captivate, I could use the same account on my pc and phone and use which ever one i wanted to use. It is so simple, I love it.

Parabay has a cross platform "Free Video Chat" that is on the Canadian BB App World. It is currently available only for Canada, but should be available to US and others sometime after OS 2.0 updates. Oh, and it's free as well.

Its my understanding, from speaking to an associate who works at Trillian, that they are also getting close to something for the Playbook, that includes Videochat, as well as every IM Platform you can imagine including FB Chat. We shall see. I have never used Tango, but this kind of app is needed badly, so count me in!!
