Did anyone notice the 2 free games that RIM has provided in Appworld to coincide with the release of OS 2.0 for the Playbook?

Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD
Modern Combat 2 Black Pegasus HD

They are both "Compliments of Blackberry"

Anyone tried them on the PB 2.0 and if so, are they as fun to play on the PB?

The combat one won't download

Neither one will download on my PlayBook. Was it limited to a certain amount? I tried several times to download both games but to no avail.

No it's not limited everyone can download it, there are now listed "gaming on a higher level"
Do you get any messages why you can't download it? Getting stuck or just nothing?
Try to reboot your playbook to see if it has any effect on it.

I have Asphalt 6 free version 1.0 I have an update alert for version 3.0. I can download it but it won't install. I sent an email to Gameloft with all my specs so hopefully they can resolve the issue or provide an explanation. At least I'm able to play the game!

There both definetily good especially since there free. Get em and play em, you can always delete if you don't like.

They were both 99 cents before they became free. I don't think anyone who paid for them is crying.

Did the reboot thing and was able to get asphalt, but still not able to download combat. It appears to be hung up. It shows in rapid movement, numbers flashing where it should be showing how much memory left to complete download

They are both great games! I purchased them not long ago at a very low price and am glad that I did. On My World they both show up with the mention "Compliments of Blackberry", is their a credit on it's way? If their isn't I don't mind, I am happy to support Playbook App developers with my purchases and appreciate the forum contributors for their opinions and experiences.

Update; I'm happy to report that I have successfully downloaded both "complimentary" games, but not without a hiccup. Great Games, it was worth the slight headache
