This might be a real dumb question but I never had a tablet before and unfamiliar.. I own the Z10, would any of the apps work that I purchased or is there a way to upgrade them or I have to purchase specially customized apps and games for the PlayBook.. I'm mostly interested in the games for my nephews who fight for my Z10 to play games on.. the price is cheap now and considering, or its just going to be a total halt of all games for it from now on and a dead end?

Some of your BlackBerry 10 apps will work on the PlayBook, there is no rhyme or reason to it though. It's entirely up to the developers if they want to offer it free on both. There will still be games filtering through for the PlayBook but it won't be as much as what is available for BlackBerry 10. As long as you're aware of that, there's no real reason to not buy a PlayBook for the kids really. Just keep in mind, overall support is limited now. In that respect, you may be better served by picking up a cheaper Android tablet which has most BlackBerry games and more available to it.

Though, the Playbook would be much cheaper now as well. I only paid $200 for my 16 gig version last X-Mas.

Just got a 2nd playbook on ebay for 90$. It is a very good web surfing ( with flash) and email tablet. Of all the latest apps are important to you then you'll need to pony up for an android or apple tablet. We do have an android tablet that I find very sloppy and awkward after using playbook. Lets face it, in 18 mos even a new Ios or Android will need replacing to keep up.....

This was almost a year ago and from Staples. It was still cheaper than any Android tablet available locally.

Too late, I got an Android tablet for less than that new and it's a brand name. I already upped the sdcard to 32 GB. I also have an Android TV Box with a portable 1Tb HDD on it. The TV Box had 16 GB on board and a sdcard drive which I put a 32 GB card into. There seems to be alot of sales lately on sdcards. And I only paid $86 for the TV Box new and it has 4 USB ports as well as HDMI.
