Anyone else see this?
Seems to have happened in the last 2-3 days or so. It can play videos that already exist on my playlist but search no longer works and no related videos show up when playing something from the playlist

Haven't used in awhile but figured it would stop working eventually like most abandoned apps. Try BBTube instead (actively developed and an awesome app)
But it won't work on Playbook ;)

Agh, my bad, didn't even look at the subforum name. :) Carry on!
I'm just surprised it stopped working now. I figured if it was gonna break, it would've done so a long time ago.
The fact that videos actually play fine suggests to me that Google is probably up to no good deliberately breaking things.
Or taking back control of their proprietary intellectual property.
I will say it's surprising how much does still work on PBOS and BB10....
Not enough to really be usable, by those of us that want a full platform experience... but a lot more than I expected in 2020.
Other than being slow, why should things not continue working? The standards by which we communicate around the world , email, http, etc have not officially changed. (Yes security has, but for a good reason).
Everything else is just companies or individuals trying to screw someone else over. Even Microsoft was not immune to Google messing around with Youtube to provide a worse experience to users of other browsers. (What? You mean there is a good reason to use a deprecated API that nobody else supports?)
Security alone make things break.
For example, the HUB isn't compatible with a number of 2FA protocols, and not all admins allow app-specific passwords.
Nor does the HUB support TLS 1.3. That will eventually be a problem.
The list is endless.
StereoTube was one of my favorite apps on the Playbook.
It's a pity to lose it, but 8 years was really long ride.
Many thanks to the developer.
Any more news on this? Still searching doesn't seem to be working. Thanks
