I'm excited to show that is now possible to run SSH Sessions from your PlayBook!

Giant leap ahead ... and this is just the beginning I hope.

Nice! Is there a client available or what are you using to connect?

Just a note that I have an interop client that allows the Playbook to connect to itself via ssh. This can be used in conjunction with this SSH app.

something that should have been available from day one...

... so are you going to give us any more info or just tease us with a screenshot?

What more info do you want?
You run the program and you can SSH in to remote server.

If you want Playbook Connect first, you can SSH in to Playbook too.

You don't say what app you are running nor a link to the app .. I think that is what they mean by more info..

SSH is the secure protocol used by admins to sign into servers from a remote location and execute commands. This is not particularly useful to the average users but being able to execute commands from your PlayBook is great for an admins who needs to handle an emergency situation.

So now we have two options for those of us needing SSH access to remote systems.

    1. Android ConnectBot
    2. WebShell
    3. BBSSH (once the BlackBerry Native Software Development Kit 2.0 is released according to Marc)

From my BlackBerry smartphone I have been using BBSSH and lately WebShell. From my BlackBerry tablet I have been using WebShell.

The same goes with MS RDP (remote desktop protocol), check the sticky about running android apps. Works like a charm, thanks to the author(s) and porter(s).
