SouthernTouch Spades - now with sound effects!

Personally, I don't care much for sound effects in card games. However, we've had a few reviews request sound effects in our Spades game (Buy SouthernTouch Spades - Download SouthernTouch Spades - Buy Games from BlackBerry App World). Of course, the sound can be muted in the options menu.

In addition to the sound effects, we've added access to the options menu from inside the game. After you begin a match, you can toggle the sound, modify your play mode (single vs. two clicks) and speed of play, but not change any scoring options.

If you like card games that involve strategy, I encourage you to check it out. The reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, including one posted here at Crackberry (http://crackberry.com/southerntouch-...berry-playbook).

I have your game, both on the Playbook (now with sound muted) and on my windows phone. I would much rather have statistics than sound that I will never use.

Hey Darwin, are you guys still working on a Backgammon game??

SouthernTouch Spades is a fun game. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in card-based strategy games. SouthernTouch did a great job with it.

I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time, either. :) We have a plan for incorporating statistics. I've been going back and forth on exactly what to track, and how. Any suggestions, anyone?

La Flama, thanks for your comment. Yes, Backgammon is still on our roadmap, but to say we're "working on it" may not be accurate wording. I've got the board designed and some gameplay elements coded, and I've been playing a lot more backgammon to help prepare. That AI is a beast, and I want to get it right.

Woo hoo! We're featured again this week. And it just happened to coincide with our latest release, v.1.2.1 http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/34213.
