So skype for PB is not coming.. oh well.. moving on.
What is next?.. any chance of google voice integration ?.. or something else?..
What is sorely needed, as for BB as a whole is the ability to send SMS and make calls via wifi..ie a TRUE VoIP application.
Who said it's dead? Could still be coming. No reason MS would hold it back from the Playbook. As for alternatives, has anyone tried the Tango android app?

I wish they can integrate skype, gtalk, yahoo etc.. on bb video that will be cool, like an unified video call
It took one year to bring Skype on the Ipad....don't know why it would be different for the playbook... so just wait
Also wait for oovoo or many other video chat clients. Wouldn't give up just yet hopefully we will see a lot of new content in the upcoming months.
Yea I use this but I don't know how to get to switch to the front facing camera lol.

Unfortunately the difference here is that that was new. The idea of Skype on tablets is no longer new, and thus it doesn't take as long, i.e. the failed HP Touchpad had Skype before it was cast aside, a very short time frame indeed. Yet we still do not.
Anyone try tweeting MS Canada about the lack of Skype on the Blackberry Playbook? I complained about the lack of support for the ATSC standard in Windows 7 Media Centre in Canada and they said they appreciated my feedback. ;)
