Is Simplebrowser supposed to have tab multitasking? If so why isn't it working for me? I play a song on youtube in one tab and switch to another tab and the music stops.

There are four active tabs.

To answer your specific question:
Any of the open tabs will remain active (for example, if a youtube movie is running.)

In the options section:
Open the second icon in the top right
Click the gears icon
Make sure you check: "keep background tabs active"

This perhaps is not Simplebrowser alone. Securebrowser does the same thing. This has been happening for a while and I can't figure it out. Anyone else have this problem?

On PB, click the gear icon..... down to General/ Application Behavior/ click the drop down and selct Showcase.

No dice. It is already in showcase mode and I put it back to default and then back to showcase again but it still won't work. Very strange.

Multitasking between windows works, but within tabs it doesn't seem to work in either browser.

You can always contact HaTaX directly, or in the official forum post he has here. That said, he is actively working on the next version of the app (which I'm testing) and it will likely be available soon.

I would contact him with your concerns so that he can make sure they're fixed in this new version. They may already be, but just make sure.

But also, what OS are you on now? Does Pandora behave the same way as YouTube? Hopefully this just goes away with the new version as I'm not experiencing that issue with the two builds I have on my PlayBook. (Both newer than what is on App World)

I am on OS2.0.1.xxx, the latest official OS.

I just tested grooveshark and pandora, played a song and it continues to play as I switch between tabs. This must just be youtube that is the problem. I just sighned up for the new version two so I'll let you know.

I have to look into this with Secure Browser. From what I remember, the problem is specific to youtube, I had the same issue at home.

For some reason, the PB seems to kill flash audio when multiple instances and tabs are opened. Not sure on the specifics outside of that.

I'll test it out this evening and see if I cna find anything
