I read so much stuff about sideloading apps that it's made me think about what I might be missing out on. However I'm quite nervous about screwing up my new PlayBook. Is it really a piece of cake??. I regard myself as quite computer savvy but don't want to invalidate any warranties. And what apps are the killer ones to sideload?

its supported by OS and will not void your warranty. In fact there are many apps in AppWorld which are just android port and are side loaded

Nah side loading is pretty easy, what I do is first do a search for Playbook torrents from isohunt or pirate bay on the computer, then install em from DB installer onto the playbook.

If you're (even just a bit) computer savy, no problem at all, easy and quite fast.
