http://forums.crackberry.com/android...0/#post8067611 here's an instagram client
Checkout the latest crackberry blog post on how to sideload the working android version of the app onto your playbook
That's BB10 devices only, not Playbook. (I have personally tested it and it does not work on the Playbook).
A question:
Why does the instagram bar file works on the z10 but not on the playbook? Isn't it the same android emulation?
Beats me... Z10 must support some native code which is also why we saw Netflix running on the Z10 and not the playbook.
I have an Instagram bar file that was converted to a bar file for the PlayBook but needs minor tweaking to run. Installs via Sideload with no errors.http://apk2bar.unker.net/
I don't see it up there, does that site only show the last few that were converted?

i'm using a .bar converted from the instagram 3.4.4 apk. if you want, you can get this .bar file from here: http://db.tt/WTnFOfqW
you can close out of the 'camera warning' dialog, and attempt to sign in, but then it crashes. i remember older threads when people asked why it wasn't possible and the explanation had to do with the android player not able to access the camera...fair enough. but now there is photo studio pro that runs in the android player, and that has access to the camera...so there must be a way
That explanation was incorrect. The real reason was that the PB's Android runtime does not support native code, which Instagram uses.
