That would align with the rumored 17 Feb release of OS v2, that way when OS v2 goes public there are apps available, instead of the other way around.

No it is not being released then Android developers need to have their app submitted by Feb. 6th to ensure they will be available upon release of OS 2.0. On a good note, RIM said it would be released in February and looks like they will actually do it.

I hope that it is the 6th or 7th, but I think it takes 10 business days for approval, and that means the 17th (or 21st if it is to be released on a Tuesday) would probably be the release date.

Maybe they will try to push the approvals process to 24 hours and release it on the 7th, but if there is a flood of apps (not saying there will or will not be), then that will be quite difficult for them. They are probably preparing for the 17th or 21st. I want my e-mail, calendar, and contacts now though!
