I may not be ready to retire for sometime, but that doesn't mean I don't plan on it.

My question is this, are there any good apps out there for retirement planning? I've tried the online calculators, but reading their 'assumptions' I'll need way more money than I actually do.

IE, a lot of sites make the assumption that travel will go up once you retire. My job has me traveling about 4 months out of the year....I don't foresee traveling once I retire. I do foresee staying home and enjoying home cooked meals as opposed to eating out 3 times a day for weeks on end.

Also, some assume you'll have a mortgage. I'm currently running a payoff plan that will have my mortgage payed off before my oldest (currently 8) goes to college. So that won't be an issue either.

Are there any retirement calculators that let me change the assumptions?

    Hi MountainProud:

Interesting question. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has come across such an app as well.

    Cheers,

I'm assuming from a lack of responses that this doesn't exist. Correct?
