Been like this forever. I use laptop just to perform these 2 functions. Never need to perform these actions very often thankfully.

I suggest you sideload Kingsoft Office.

I haven't been able to find either of those options.
I tend to use this app on my playbook, Kingsoft Office for Playbook and BB10 - Blackberry Playbook and BB10 Android Apps
you'll need to side load it, which is odd because it's available in the BB10 App World.
It's full featured and works incredibly well.

If you aren't into sideloading, you can always look into purchasing Smart Office 2 from App World. it works well and has the features that you are looking for.

Picsel "Smart Office 2" does row/column insertions; for sorting I don't know. Ask them (or check their site?)
