Does the bridge connection allow apps to use the phone data when Wi-Fi is not available?

For example, would I be able to refresh ScoreMobile stats on my Playbook through 4G on my 9900 when I am not in a WiFi area?

It depends on the application. If the developer requires a Wifi connection for the app, then you won't be able to use bridge for the data. Others, like ScoreMobile, works fine through bridge.
