although apple and android tout they have a plethera of apps, how many of those apps are useful? scrolling through both stores i could only pick out 10-20 apps that would be useful to anyone. I would be extremely happy if app world had the following apps:
Netflix
direct TV
comcast TV app
HGTV to go
all major bank apps
angry birds (just to say we have it, i don't really play it)
citrix reciever
RDP app (pocket wyse)
tether
simon
amazon kindle
xm radio
i know i'm missing a bunch, but have to get back to work.
Netflix
Sling Player
Skype video (I need cross-platform so BBM Video is of no use to me)
PingChat (same as above)
Pandora
TetherBridge
Dropbox
Kindle
Rhapsody
Words with Friends
Angry Birds
Remote Desktop
VPN client that works with my office VPN
Banking app
Remote control for PS3 over BlueTooth (Similar to the way the iPhone and iPad can remote control AppleTV)
Decent E-Book reader
Dropbox - actually you can go to dropbox.com/votebox and vote for them to develop it....
Video Chat - Skype or MSN Messenger
the only app i want is Skype or some alternative that allows me to log in to my skype account for video chats a few time-killer games won't hurt either
There's really only one I really want and thats a 3rd party media player that will play all sorts of media/audio codecs and containers e.g the MKV container because I doubt that RIM will do this anytime soon.
I'm sure skype or MSN messenger will make its way on board at some stage.
In addition to having this app it would be nice if it had the features the iPhone/iPad and Android versions have.
