I am thinking of buying a Playbook. I have heard that the new os 2.0 has vastly improved it and the price drop has made me seriously consider it. I have a couple of queries however. Firstly is there a good selection of apps eg flixster, casual games etc. And secondly is there any way to transfer my contacts from my Bold 9900 to the Playbook?

Ok, I am pretty sure that I will purchase one now, do you have any recommendations for size, I was thinking 32gb seeing as the playbook is so cheap now. Also can any android apps be put across onto the playbook or is it just certain ones?

yes you can put android apps on it by sideloading, there is already some androids apps.
available in pb appworld though, it's still going strong each day.

follow this link how to sideload android apps, and all the other links in it, then you will have an idea how it works like.

Okay, ill consider it... Have you got any experience with sideloading, is it relatively simple to do? Do the apps run flawlessly or are they very glitched once they have been transferred over?

I find sideloading to be extremely easy, but I am a bit of a geek. Sideloaded apps run the same as if they were from App World (except no automatic updates), just because sideloaded apps haven't gone through the approval process you can still have not-as-good apps if you look through sideloaded apps instead of App World.

No offense, but asking people on an advocacy site whether you should get a product is like asking a drug dealer if you should try meth/crack/etc.. I would strongly suggest doing some real homework on the subject, including checking out the offereings from other companies. There are already too many people complaining that the Playbook doesn't do what they want, or doesn't live up to expectations, when some research would have given them enough information to have known that before purchase.

All of your questions can also be answered via the crackberry search you will find mostly positive feedback but there is plenty of "I'm not satisfied with my playbook because..." threads as well lol. Not to say that either will give you a true idea of if playbook is right for you but you will get a much better idea of what you can and cannot do with a playbook.. That being said.. "Imo" as of December anyway there is no tablet that will do what I personally want from a tablet better then the playbook is doing and it's still pretty much in its infant/toddler stage as of now so I think it's only going to get better but again this is my opinion

Okay thanks, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to buy one tomorrow, just a tad concerned about the physical size of it, have you found the screen and tablet itself too small?

I understand what you are saying but the reason that I was asking on here was because I wanted specialist blackberry knowledge and I would rather ask fellow blackberry users. Not all people who own a playbook will like it so I just wanted to hear their opinions. I have done plenty of research on this thank you but I just wanted to double check some things before going ahead and buying one.
