I'm not sure if there's a phone number.
I have a PlayBook (latest OS 1.0.8.6067) and a Torch 9810 (latest AT&T OS 7.0.0.583) and have jumped through all the hoops I can find here and elsewhere. I just can't seem to make my PB and 9810 connect with Phone Remote. As a last resort, I'm wondering if having my 9810 password protected would cause the connection problems.
My 9900 is PW protected and it seems to work just fine... Something I have noticed though is if I go into the BB app and it doesn't show the wireless IP address properly, choose the exit button and close it completely, then re-open it. After I see the IP address listed correctly it's always taken right off for me.
does it work with windows mobile ??? LG CT810
The idea is great, but the implementation is, no offence, craptastic. It will only connect once without completely restarting both apps, phone client throws socket in use errors, screen doesn't display unless you manually set the resolution or go in ridiculously off-ratio fullscreen mode, when it does connect - the refresh rate is about 3 seconds per screen, even on the lowest settings... and to boot the GUI shows the Torch interface regardless of which phone you connect it to, with screen actually being off-center by about 25 pixels. Settings are about as intuitive as facebook privacy controls and help topics help clutter the screen a little... If you're thinking of buying - wait for the development to at least enter the beta stage...
Will this app ever be able to offer bluetooth connection?
I just learned that this program will not be able to work over the Bluetooth connection. Apparently RIM has blocked the bridge connection to only allow HTTP and HTTPS connection. Until RIM enables additional protocols over Bluetooth, these type of remote programs require WI-FI. There might be way if you root, but I haven't looked into that.
Apparently (emailed dev), there is now a native built bluetooth version of phone remote ready for bb 10. I just don't have bb10 yet.

Anyone tried it on developer device?
