From the keynote, Adobe said that there are over 4000 Air apps on the Playbook and later RIM in the second keynote said that over 1/4 of Playbook apps are HTML5 apps.

So not counting native c/c++ Playbook apps, there are over 5000 Playbook Air/HTML5 apps.

Why are those "book apps" even accepted into BlackBerry AppWorld in the first place? It is the application equivalent of spam email. And the "developer" should be stretched out on the desert floor on a hot sunny day covered in a film of sugar so the insects can eat him or her alive. Then burn the corpse and bury the ashes in a 1000 mile deep mine shaft and seal it.
