office talk free is a microsoft enterprise communicator android app that runs great on the OS 2.0 developer beta. i've been running it on my playbook since about a week after the developer beta was released.

Also, most companies with communicator have the ability to enable a web-version of it. It usually resides at: http://im.<yourdomain>.com. And it works on the PB.

Here's a link to the google sheet that lists tons of apps that have been tested:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...hl=en_US#gid=0

It's called "Office Talk Free" and last I checked was on row 497.

With each passing day as I use my BlackBerry smartphone and tablet I am finding ways to truly have a portable mobile office without a notebook computer. For many jobs these days even the desktop computer could be replaced by a tablet and smartphone and for extended typing sessions a Bluetooth keyboard. There will always be a place for notebook and desktop computers though mainly in specialized application niches such as video editing and other highly-resource intensive applications.
