That's a better option than the PB anyway. I've installed my Nexus 7 in the car, and I used it for Torque and Google Maps all the time. Amazing the PlayBook is in the back, installed on the headrest for the little one to watch movies. That's about the only action my PB sees these days

I already have hardwired OBDII apps for laptop and PocketPC. I also have an OBDII meter. They all work well enough. But if nthgere was a Bluetooth app for the PB, I would probably buy it.

That is a must for the Playbook and Z10/Q10.

I've sideloaded Torque Lite onto my Z10, in the settings it makes mention of wifi ODB adaptors, has anyone tried it with those?

The only sensor it appeared to recognise was the accelerometer in the phone so good for testing that, would love to see this app working on the z10 or even better the playbook

OP, I had purchased Laplogger from this developer for my bluetooth dongle - BlackBerry World - LapLogger . In January, I had asked if he had any plans for a BB10 app in which he replied something was in the works. Perhaps, also give him a nudge too!

Unfortunately, that wouldn't work as there is no BT support for any side loaded apps.

iOS doesn't even have a proper and affordable OBD II app, so I don't think you'll ever see one on BB

Sure did, it's available in the BB appworld. However, the sideloaded Torque app will only work with a wifi OBDII adapter. Last i checked, those adapters cost over $100. This thread was about a native app that will support BT adapters. The BT adapters can be found on eBay for around $10-$15

I see, says the blind man to the deaf dog But doesn't the side loaded app actually specifies that it only works with a particular wifi adapter. The most expensive one

So did anyone try the side-loaded Torque app? How does it compare to the Android version? There are frequent updates on android; is that the same for BB?

Wasn't the BB version just made available? You expecting updates already?

Sure lookin' like you are kinda sorta trying to mess with this thread. :-)

I thought it was an android app, not a BB native app. So I was just wondering what version it was and how updates work for android apps on BB. Are they updated at the same time as android, or are they even updated at all for that matter.
