Lately the New Arrivals section in Appworld has been overwhelmed with books and audio books. These are not APPS, and they should have their own category.

Been ranted about many times already. :)
I agree.. But they usually come in bulk and stops for away.
Rant :D
I read somewhere that Alec said they are working on this.
No offense, but Alec has been saying this for the past 7 months and nothing has happened. People have been voicing this suggestion to App World since the Playbook was first released and, to date, nothing has been done. I agree with the OP and what others have said - it is utterly astonishing that this still has yet to be addressed.
Last time I got into a thread about this I agreed that putting a book on a app format is not creating apps. Most of these fly by night wannabe be people work at rite aid and come on here claiming they are some sort of developer. Dude your not.
There is a book category on App World already under Categories but that does nothing to filter out all the books under New Arrivals.
BTW, Alec Saunders is in dev relations and has nothing to do with App World. That's someone else's responsibility.
How long does it take to exclude this garbage (most of them) from New Arrivals and create its own category to go directly into? Is anyone still developing for the PlayBook or is everything just ported? I see maybe one new half decent app a week if that. Sad, such a powerful and versatile device and devs are showing it no love.
Could not agree more to many books!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible isn't it...
Couldn't agree more. No one will buy those books anyway, so what's the satisfaction that troll devs getting?
Speaking of Books... Where can i get the " Playbook 4 Dummies" ebook or Pdf?
PM me plz
Pedro
All these books that are so called apps are at gutenberg.org or librivox.org in either print
or audio and they are free as their authors have been dead for more than fifty years.
This is it, welcome from the rest of us dummies
