I would stick with the native Blackberry podcast application if it weren't for one thing:

    It does not work offline.

I mean when I try and start it when I am not connected to a wireless network, I get a spinning ring on a green background and that is it.

Even if I start a podcast before I leave the house, if I try to switch to one later it will sometimes just hang as it searches for a network to update itself.

This makes this application extraordinarily useless for me, since I like to have podcasts playing while I drive.

Has anyone found a way around this?

In the meantime I am using BeyondPod but I kind of like the native app better.

    Thanks!

PS I am using the latest OS 2.0.0.7971

My native podcast app works fine offline for me at least. Watches it in the train all the time. it tells me it's offline but i can see my downloaded content and access it.
