    yup,

from the sign up page: [although it sounds kinda confusing[

Can I run Native SDK 1.0.7 applications while using Tablet OS 2.0?
Native applications that are developed with the native SDK 1.0.7 (against BlackBerry PlayBook OS 1.0.7) will run on tablets with BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0, but testing of applications will require the use of a BlackBerry PlayBook OS 1.0.7 simulator or tablet at this time. Were excited to announce that a beta release of the native SDK 2.0, which supports BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0, will be available soon.
Essentially, newer SDK is required for the older apps

umm.. yes i know. that does not change the fact that it does not run on 2.0. or the fact that it still makes me sad.

I'm sure once 2.0 is released it will be fine. Remember this is a BETA release. Meant for developers to test their apps.

    Not fit for consumers.
