    Hi there,

Thought we'd have a nice friendly discussion/listing of the APPS we might want to see on the PB whether they are already in the BB ecosystem or not yet.

I will list mine first and then let's see where we can go with this, maybe even someone from the software company or RIM is listening - you never know !

Please don't tell people what websites can do what they want from the apps, chances are they know this already, and it will just detract from the thread being about what apps people would like to see on the PB.

Ok my list of apps I would really like to see are :

    1) Real VNC (available iOS)
    2) TuneIN Pro (available BB)
    3) Sky+ (available iOS)
    4) Trillian (available BB)
    5) Flight Control (available iOS)
    6) World of Goo HD (available iOS)
    7) Articles (available iOS)
    8) VKontakte (available iOS)
    9) Google Plus (available iOS)
    10) VLC (available iOS - sort of)
    11) Angry Birds (available iOS)
    12) Skype (available iOS)
    13) Tapatalk (available BB)
    14) FlightTrack/FlightBoard (available iOS)
    15) Chess/Words/Hanging With Friends (available iOS)
    16) SlingPlayer (available iOS)
    17) Speed Test (available iOS)
    18) WikiTravel (available iOS)
    19) PuzzleBobble/NewPuzzleBobble (available iOS)

Right thats my list ! I've included if they're already available for another platform - that would be a very impressive start if I got all of that tomorrow in App World

Considering the browser on Playbook many of the Apps I use on iPad are not needed.

But there is definately a lack of key 3rd party Apps. What's interesting is the ones listed so far I have no desire for, I'm sure they would be nice to have but it speaks to the one App doesn't fit all concept and the notion that the Apps you care about are not the same as mine etc.

I have (patiently) been waiting for any of these (in no order of need)

    - USA Today
    - Wall Street Journal
    - CNBC
    - Comcast Xfinity (love to manage my DVR with this)
    - Google Maps
    - Citrix Receiver (corporate) and yes I have the preview
    - GoToMyPC (for personal)
    - Webex (corporate)
    - ESPN
    - MLB at bat
    - NBC
    - ABC
    - Hulu (not that I use it but it's a popular one)
    - Skype (not that I use it but it's a popular one)
    - Zynga games (mob, vampire etc)
    - Weather channel
    - IM (AIM, MS Live etc)
    - Bing (like the iPad one)
    - OpenTable
    - Yelp!
    - Trip Advisor

    Ebook reader - Gobooks (sideload)
    - works great for me. Excellent features.

    FTP - AndFTP (sideload)
    - allows folder downloads! LiteFTP, or any from appworld can't do that.

    Musicplayer. - Winamp. (sideload)
    - works great, make multiple playlists, move tunes around within playlists.

    Maps - GoogleMaps
    - a little buggy, but does the trick for maps and satellite images. I like making screen shots of Google-earth maps and saving them for hikes.

As for apps from appworld, I haven't found to many besides:

    Splashtop for remote desktop contro
    Files&Folders - I like the zip features
LiteFTP - can't download folders, but decent

Buy Machinarium - Download Machinarium - Buy Games from BlackBerry App World

I'd recommend this to both gamers and non-gamers because this is the first app which makes me feel that worth the bucks on Apps World

All I can say is that I am HOPING that developers get on it! I don't know what OS2 has in store as far as being able to use Android apps but here's my list of apps I would love to see on the Playbook...

Dolphin Web Browser *(in my opinion one of the best mobile browsers out there) or an Opera Browser option?
Skype or a "FACE TIME" kind of app for video conferencing
Netflix (MUST GET) (EPIXHD & CRACKLE are nice but quite limited)
Amazon Prime - for existing Amazon Prime customers
    HULU & HULU +
    PANDORA
    A Full Twitter app
Yahoo Messenger &/or LIVE MESSENGER * (Digsby or Imo)
Kindle/Nook Reader (Kobo is nice, but limited)
    Four Square or YELP!
    Tumblr
IMDB (I know that there's a link on the BEST OF WEB)
    Flixster
    Fandango
ESPN (I like the Score App - But a FULL ESPN App is a better option. It can be customized)
    NFL (Team Specific)
    MLB (Team Specific)
    PBS
NPR NEWS (Although, NEWS 360 is a GREAT APP!!!)
Google Suite *(Google +, Gmail, Chrome, Maps, Music, Docs, Earth, Picassa, Blogger)
    Winamp
    Soundhound or Shazzam
(Maybe a Quicktime Movie Player) - for movie trailers *
    Better Barcode Scanner
BBM for NON BB Phone users
    TEXTING APP
    Linkedin
    NY Times
    PayPal
    BANK APPS
    Ebay
    DILBERT
    Pinterest
    Remember the Milk
    Wikipedia
    Word Press Blogging
    Sticky Notes

FREE versions of the most popular games - Angry Birds -*$4.99?? REALLY?!, Cut the Rope, Godfinger, Plants vs Zombies, Words with Friends, Yathzee, Scabble, UNO, Defragger. Jenga
