How do you go into movie store
Thanks
Sorry it should be Video Store.
If the movie has a wider aspect ratio than the PB it will be displayed showing full width and black bars above and below. This is correct display. Nothing to remedy. I have bougt several movies and TV shows and they all display properly on the PB.
That's not good. I was hoping movies are converted to PB aspect ratio.
It is the perfect way to handle the movies. There is no standard aspect ratio for all video, so you either show the image at the correct aspect ratio, or you chop or distort the frame. Chopping and distorting are crude blunt-force fixes. Better to watch the film as the director intended.
I am happy to have the video store period. I agree with the aspects ratio but I believe some BlackBerry users still don't have access to the store.
If the movie is a wider aspect ratio than 16:9 its going to have black bars. same goes for every tv or monitor. Its the way the movie was made and should stay.
The question you have to ask yourself: Which part of the picture/image/movie do you want to cut off to fill the screen entirely. For instance, I have some videos I took with my Canon digital camera. When I look at them on the pb, they have about 3/4 inch black bars on either side but the proportions are perfect. The video app does allow me to pinch/zoom to fill the screen but when I fill the screen, some portions of my video get pushed off the top and/or bottom or both. What's correct? Totally depends on what's in that scene. Same for any "real" movie. What do you want pushed off the screen.
OR, if possible, I can stretch it to the left and right but now the images/people are stretched/widened. Grace Kelly in High Noon will not look as nice widened!
Viewing movies on ipad will give you even bigger black bars and wasted space because of its oldschool 4:3 aspect ratio. Not sure while apple is trying to bring back the tube tv look
Sorry for being a bit off topic... But I found that when the video is downloading you are able to watch it but have NO seek feature. ie when I stopped the movie after 1 hr and wanted go get back to it... While it was still downloading, I could ONLY start the movie from the beginning!
Anyone have this issue too?
