First off, I'm running the latest beta of OS 2.0.

I downloaded and installed ES File Explorer for Android. I configured it to access my home server and browsed my network.

I browsed to my movies folder, selected a movie to watch, held my finger on it and told it to open as video and to use ES Media Player.

To my surprise, the movie started playing on my playbook and looked fine. If I tried to skip through the movie, I got an error saying "this media does not support streaming...." and it would download on to my device.

I have only managed to get it to play AVI files, not other file extensions seem to work.

    Anyway, it's a start.

I found the new o's 2.0 allows me to stream video directly in the browser. I access the files through an iis server. Works great and I can navigate through the video flawlessly.

I don't suppose you have an idiots guide to setting that up on Windows 7 perchance?
