Can we look forward to or expect MLB At Bat this spring on the PB?
What are your thoughts?
I certainly hope so and do not see any reason why not with OS2 on its way.

I was able to get Nobex Radio Premium on my 9900 when RIM gave away apps. There0's also a free version both on the phone and PlayBook. They have WCBS out of NY, Yankees station. It works great so far and I'll try in a few weeks when spring training begins.
You can probably listen and watch the games through MLB.com. Not as user friendly as the app of course, but it should work.
Take a look at score mobile, free app for playbook
on stock browser i only get the mobile mlb.com site.
The regular site opens beautifully on simple browser+ set to firefox or IE, and u get full functionality there (games, hilites, etc). Nice!
So, At Bat not needed.
(heh heh, if u set the browser user agent to ipad or android, u get the ad for At Bat, since they can't do flash!)
I'll be looking forward to an MLB at Bat app this spring, it would be really nice to stream games on this crisp screen! *fingers crossed*
Will give this a go.
Still hope they release a good MLB app this spring for the PB.
Elduque...
looks like MLB is not doing a Blackberry app. WTH man Windows phone 7 coming soon but no playbook???I don't get it MLB.com At Bat 12 | MLB.com: Mobile
I wonder if porting the Android version will work...hmmmm.........
moved to apps and games section
Just like it serves as a workaround for the lack of Netflix and Hulu, once more PlayOn will help here. NHL is available, too.
not even supporting phones now. what a joke. windows phone 7 doesn't even come close to the amount of BlackBerry users. not very happy about this. can probably forget about a PlayBook app
I'm pretty bummed... I'm a huge baseball guy and always enjoyed staying connected with the game on my old bb tour. I was hoping for a playbook app also. Would have paid for both separately even. Instead they completely drop the phone version and don't have a playbook option.
Love my BB and PB, but man this hurts... I can do without netflix, skype, and hulu. But my baseball... Someone please tell me there's hope?
Sorry for ranting.
Can someone convert MLB at bat lite?
tried out at bat 12 lite. works perfectly. video, etc etc. dont see any problems/crashes. so id suppose the full version would work.
not sure if im allowed to attach it but i did so
This is good stuff - installed!
I guess it's time to fork over my $14.99 - thank you!
Works perfectly! I was able to login with my premium subscription as well. Let's see how it goes with spring training games starting tomorrow!
is it possible to upgrade to the full version through the sideloaded app?
Thanks for converting that over! Saved me the trouble of trying to rip it from my touchpad! :-)
Works great!
nope - when you try, it opens up App World...made me laugh, actually...(obviously a generic call to whatever 'app store' is on the device in which the app is running)
Anyone buy the full version and convert it yet? I am happy to buy it myself and work through it but just wanted to know if someone had done it already and confirmed it worked...
Thx!
PG
I just don't get it. Windows Phone ? Really ? and no love for BlackBerry ? This is getting silly.
Sent from my BlackBerry Playbook using Tapatalk
OK...I'm new. I downloaded the file...what next? Any help would be much appreciated!
I'm very disappointed in regards to this. I work a lot of nights so I lived for my AT BAT 11 app on my blackberry last year. Today I went to look for at bat 12 in the app world and NOTHING. I go to MLB's site and no mention of blackberry anywhere, just IPHONE, Android and soon to come Windows Phone. What a joke. I e mailed MLB and this was what I sent and then the subsequent respond by them.
I've had a blackberry for many years now and I've been a past subscriber including last year to the AT BAT 11 App so I can listen to the games through my blackberry. This year I'm not seeing an app in the Blackberry App World and on your website there is no mention of an AT Bat 12 for the blackberry. Are there plans to develop one in the coming weeks before Opening Day? Thank you in advance for your time in regards to this matter. Now I'm wondering, I know we were never able to get the MLB.TV with the blackberry, and that's what their response was about. How about just the AT BAT Gameday Audio? That's what I want and that's what I had last year for 14.99. I'm not sure why in the they would alienate blackberry users.Thank you for contacting us.
We would like to inform you that Blackberry devices is not yet supported by MLB.TV.

I have the Nobex app and tunein app, but WCBS typically blacks out the game feed on those but I guess I can try their other affiliates to see if I can find one free and clear. I've lucked out and been able to get Jet games through 1050 ESPN Radio on the Tunein app, I'm also a Orlando Magic fan and it's hit and miss through Tunein and Nobex to pick up their games. I might have to switch to an Android if we are going to be left out of this MLB AT BAT app, I love my blackberry, but love my Yankees more. This is terrible news. Let's hope they fix this!
If you have MLB.tv, Android customers have no need to install the full (non-lite) app. All you have to do is log in with your MLB.tv account and it's essentially the full app.
However, it seems that the sideloaded app isn't supported for MLB.tv just yet (users can only listen to games; the video icon doesn't appear next to audio). MLB is slowly supporting more devices, so hopefully by Opening Day they'll have flipped the switch for whatever device the Android Player emulates (since there's no way in heII the PlayBook's Android player will be supported directly)
That said, my issue can always be isolated -- though I don't see how that could be the case. I'm aware that it works through SimpleBrowser with the Firefox UA, but has anyone gotten MLB.tv to work through the At-Bat app?
