maybe some games can be installed to current playbook os from bb10
chasing yello used to be on playbook, then it was taken off and only posted to bb10. Never came back. Many people are saying it could have been an accident. assuming that, if we got our hands on some bb10 games, maybe just maybe we could install them to playbook. Many probably won't work but if this one did, then others can. It'll be just like installing android apps, most won't work but a few lucky ones will. Can only hope. So if someone has the z10, and could get their hands on a few good games, we can test them on the playbook!!!
Re: maybe some games can be installed to current playbook os from bb10
I would think that games which don't use QML or BB10 APIs might be backwards compatible. If it doesn't use QML, then it might play and only crash when it tries to do something like share a high score via BBM. I doubt that a game which would crash like that would get approved in Blackberry World.
I know when I designed RuneCryption, I wanted to make sure it worked on the PlayBook and BB10, so I built it accordingly (and now updating it to make sure it plays well on the Q10 when that gets released).
Hopefully, they come out with a BB10 beta version for the PlayBook shortly after the Z10 makes its US appearance. Once the BB10 PlayBook beta hits, it might give us an idea how ready it is for a full release. After that, a lot more BB10 games should be available.
