Alright, I'm doing a rally this weekend, and most of the rally is where the is no internet nor any cell coverage.

Is there a map I can download and view only the map without having any GPS, Internet nor cell coverage?

I just want a MAP so I can broswe and pin-point where we want to go.

    Thanks,
    JP

Not as far as i can work out

Thats one annoyance, I don't think it would be massively difficult to put a Ordnance Survey map or similar on it :/

    Hi,

I think our needs are the same. I want to be able to download the needed application and North American maps and then operate PB and app like a normal travel navigation GPS - no WIFI or online connectivity - just GPS birds, the PB, and the app. Magellan does not do this yet - or I have missed that feature.

My existing automotive GPS does not have an online feature so I do not expect it in my PB

    PS

You can use "http://maps.nokia.com" by going to their website and view the map area you need and then 'Save neighborhood map" and then when you open the page offline "view your saved map" It's slow but it does work and the GPS works on or off line. This was mentioned in an earlier post.http://forums.crackberry.com/playboo...ght=Nokia+maps

Do you know where on the device the maps are stored? Could one download on a pc and copy "saved" maps between devices?
