HeroCraft releases Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim on BlackBerry PlayBook. The game is licensed by Paradox Interactive and designed in the style of the famous original PC game.

HeroCraft are delighted to announce the launch next week of Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim on BlackBerry PlayBook. Majesty, the popular PC strategy game from developers Paradox Interactive, has been painstakingly adapted to mobile devices and offered Android, Nokia Ovi and iOS users an engaging and in-depth strategy gaming experience earlier this year. Now BB PlayBook users can also try it out on their devices. With its legendary indirect control system, Majesty has gained a cult following on PC and sensing its suitability to the modern high powered mobile devices, HeroCraft has been able to bring it to a wider audience.

Majesty soared immediately to the Top 10 on the official Android Market and reached over 1.5 million downloads there. The game was listed as one of five "Winning Games for Tablets" by The New York Times on June 21st, 2011

“Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim is the richest real-time strategy game I’ve yet played on a phone or tablet, and also one of the more interesting games of this sort I have played on any system recently.” – Seth Schiesel, The New York Times, June 8, 2011

“Majesty will get you to the mountaintop gameplay-wise if you're looking for a loyal reworking of the PC original...” – PocketGamer

This is a great game. I have been really enjoying it. It is very responsive and plays very nicely on the playbook. It is well worth the two bucks if you enjoy this genre of game.

I bought this game earlier in the afternoon and just put it down now - the gameplay is very addicting! It's nice to see some good, inexpensive apps coming to the Playbook.

It does have one annoying bug where the textures flicker/becomes unresponsive but it seems to go away when you manage to scroll to a black area of the screen. It could be because I'm running the 2.0 beta though.
