After losing access to my entire library of books last Saturday, I am happy to report that my library just downloaded again and all my books are back. Woot!! A Kobo rep on Friday told me it was caused by an issue on their website and it would be fixed by this weekend. Looks like she was right. Enjoy everyone!
Mine is working too! Just in time as i am getting the train next week as on a course so will have the PB with me to read books from!!! Had been getting worried. Still disappointed that the communication from Kobo had been so poor.
Wasn't working earlier today. However, I followed a tip on the other kobo not working thread... installed android version (of course on development beta 2.0). That works like a charm.
Mine's still not working. Tried a reboot-tried a delete and re-install-tried a complete shutdown and still no Kobo. My PB feels like a technological orphan.
There must be a setting that the one's that aren't working are overlooking. Anybody got any ideas? Also you'd think that Kobo, as a matter of public relations, would send an explanation along with instructions. I guess I can dream.
still not working for me. tried reinstall, reboot, signing on and off, clearing browser cache, nothing. im on OS 1.7 -- never updated and no interest.Very frustrating.
I got the Playbook OS 1.0.7.3312 pushed to me at around the time kobo stopped working ....
If you delete the Kobo app, and then reinstall it, your PB will push a portion of the latest OS update to you. The Kobo app in AppWorld is v1.0.0, and because Kobo is a core application, the OS updater needs to bring the app up to it's latest version (I think v1.2.5) which is why you get a portion (it's only a portion) of the latest PB OS update pushed out to you.
