At current only the converted droid app.. need OS2 beta on playbook to use it..
Works well Read the ENTIRE Song of Fire and Ice series with it (5 books)
You would have to ask kindle. I hear the cloud reader works OK. And on the beta I think some are running the android kindle so maybe that is what will happen when OS 2 comes in Feb?
Android App seems to work fine, occasional freezing but nothing major, probably as good as its going to get for the PB from Amazon.

Use in portrait mlde. I know it isn't what you asked flr, but it works well.
Where I can find a link to download a kindle BAR?
The download link mentioned in this article does not work anymore Maximum PC | How to Run Android Apps on your Blackberry Playbook - Page 2

I would also love to know where to find this bar file. All of the links seem to be invalid.
Here you go Amazon Kindle .bar
Just un-rar it of course.
No it won't be available for the playbook.

Thanks for the advice and info....I'm currently working through a stack of regular books, once I get through them, I had had the thought of using my PB as a reader.
I have the (android) Kindle app installed on my PB and it works fine.
Hi,
I've made quick video showing how Kindle app works on playbook in Android player.
Check it out, if you're interested:

Downloaded kindle app to my playbook after upgrading to OS2. Can see everything in the archive but cannot download anything. My playbook is an original from last April and I have a lot of apps on it. Bought my son the Playbook when it was at $199 and he has nothing on his yet except OS2 with default programs. I installed kindle app on his and was able to download everything from my Kindle account. Any thoughts why his works and mine doesn't. The message I get is "download interrupted". Thanks for any feedback.
Could be as simple as a glitch in your wifi? Did you attempt to try it more than once? Maybe if you tried again, it would work.
It's def not the wifi. I have uninstalled and re-installed the kindle app several times and I am using my office wifi which is rock solid. I have a feeling it might have something to do with the download directory but cant be sure.
Seems there is a hidden kindle folder in the android folder and it is not showing up so the program does not know where to deliver the books when downloading. When I try to recreate the kindle folder it tells me there is one there already (but hidden) and do I want to merge the new and old? If I say yes it stays hidden and won't download the books, and if I say no it will not allow me to create an unhidden kindle folder. Very weird. Anyone know how to "unhide" a hidden subfolder in the android folder?
I'm also getting the "Download Interrupted" error. tony, were you able to find a solution for this?
In reply to the kind person who provided the .rar file link for kindle, can you please explain how to un-rar the file for someone who doesn't really do computers?
Cheers.
There are UN-rar applications for desktop computer. They were somewhat like ZIP files if you are familiar with the "packaging" method. I'm not sure but some UNzippers may also be able to hand rar files.
Google WinRar....
