    Has anyone tried this app? I heard it can play MKV with Dts/Ac3 embedded.
    If the app really can decode Dts/Ac3, then I am going to buy this app.

    I've found it to work as advertised for what I throw at it, though I've not tried specifically your question. It's inexpensive enough that I just get it for the SRT ability itself. Just buy it and try it.

    Yes, it plays embedded subtitles. I can confirm that Kalemsoft displays the subtitle stream contained in ".rec" files, which are MPEG-TS containers.
