I emailed PR manager for North America.

Surprisingly enough I got very quick response. Good for Opera to have dedicated people working for this company ! anyways, here is the response

    Hello

I own BB phone and I use your browser pretty much exclusively on my phone. I also own Blackberry Playbook. I would like to find out when will your awesome browser come to Playbook. There seems to be many request for your browser from Playbook users. Just check out crackberry.com ! If you do not intend to develop Opera for QNX can you at least please make the Android version to work with Android Player for Playbook !

    Thank you

    Hi Bart,

Thanks for your mail. I can't share any information about our development plans, but I will definitely pass this on to the team in charge. I'm sure they're very aware of the demand, but your email will help as well.

    Thanks again for using Opera.

    Best,
    Thomas

Yes, I own paid version of Simple Browser. Still I would like to see Opera. I have a soft spot for it.

Maybe simple browser or secure browser can figure a way to access the opera account to pull the bookmarks from it? The only real joy I have for opera is the fact that my bookmarks are on all of the platforms I use (phone/desk/work/lap/etc).... or maybe even a firefox addon to do the same thing. Still love me some secure browser tho.

It would definitely be nice to have the option to use Opera. Especially for limited internet situations.

I just posted in another thread about this so sorry for the cross post. I pretty much live in Opera desktop and have been really missing Opera for the PlayBook. My solution was to log into my.opera.com and then I have web access to my speed dial, favorites, and notes. I also saved my speed dial as a homescreen shortcut.

I use Opera on my Bold 9780 and would also like to see it on the Playbook. It's a great browser and I enjoy using it.
