As far as i know there is no mac version...
My workaround is that on my mac i have installed XP as a virtual machine using VMWare Fusion.
I have used it to get DDPB to install the Android App Player on my Playbook over Wifi. Was pretty easy.
Wow that's great can you please tell me how you went about installing it.:)
I posted this really simple osx android player installation guide awhile back: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...=1#post6503312
installs painlessly without the need for vmware stuff
Do you mean installing XP or installing Android player?
Installing XP in VMWare is pretty much the same as installing XP on a computer, takes about half an hour.. go to VMWare's website to download what you need. However, if you dont have XP already installed then i would agree with daspop above, his terminal method is definitely easier/quicker.
For installing Android player, go into your XP virtual machine and use Louis.keeper's program to install the android player .bar file...

you can get the .bar file here:

and once you have android player installed and you have run it the first time (takes ages), you can then use the same program to install the .apk andriod apps as well.
Thanks a lot daspop and bigj425
Alberta Blue posted this in a forum, Luckily for me I did'nt update my pb.

does this still work? i'm getting a connection error...
daspop has it right, the zip file I put out there will work for most any system, but the batch file is just for Windows systems.
Now that OS 2.0 has the AP baked in I may revise that ZIP file so that it has a linux / OSX shell script in there as well. Would be easy enough to do and I've got both of those systems to test and build it on.
It's on my radar, but for now, the command that daspop gives in his thread will work perfectly. Remember to enable development mode on the PB before running that command! If it doesn't work, reboot the PB, enable development mode and try again.
If it doesn't work, make sure you can at least ping the IP address of the PB from your workstation. (at a command line / terminal prompt "ping 192.168.1.222" where 192.168.1.222 is replaced with the IP address of your PB)
I tried the above method but kept getting "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file " and thats about as far as my knowledge about java lets me go. I just ended up using parallel's with xp installed then used the playbook_tools and it worked without a hitch.
I simplified this process further by downloading RIMs official "command line tools" found under deployment options on the developer/jam/whatever page for Android.
Essentially it's the same as Hatax's playbook tools but also contains the apk to bar and signing capabilities. I can update the specific steps if there's any other Mac users lost on doing apk to bar, or needing help with bar deployment in general.
I would like that.
Would also like to get the tools for Mac. Thanks!
the tools provided in the dev section are for Linux Mac Windows

I keep getting Unable to access jarfile BarDeploy.jar
