So my question is, these free apps, for Playbook??? Or is it only for BB Phones? So far everything seems to focus on the phones, haven't seen it directed to Playbooks.
I see a lot of hype about it, but if it is only for the phones...ehhh.
Not as excited as first hearing about it!
If I missed something someone please direct me.
Its for the phones afaik. i have the link on my bold appworld but not on the playbook.
Under the *Thank You Gift* section in AppWorld on the Playbook, there are four apps:
1. Birthday Calendar for Facebook (listed as $1.99)
2. Spell Checker for Playbook (listed as $0.99)
3. Checklist HD for Blackberry (listed as $1.99)
4. Translator for Blackberry Playbook (listed as $0.99)
Don't see the same type "FREE" tagging on them as on DriveSafe.ly in AppWorld on the phone.
Maybe we just get a discounted price on some apps?!
I don't see the section for Thank You Gift in the AppWorld.
Go to the Apps TAB in Appworld. It will be the first item you see.
Depending on where you live, and what RIM's plans are for the rollout. I got my free apps last night just after 00:00. (shrugs), if you do not see them appear in app world, they soon will be.
There is no "Thank You Gift" in App World on my playbook. I see it in App world in my phone, but not on the playbook.
Are these programs in App world for the playbook? Because I did a search and can't find any of these apps on the playbook. I think it's the search feature that doesn't work well because I tried to search for another app the other day that I know is on the playbook, but search couldn't find it.
i dont think there would be free apps for the PB as those users did not suffer any issues, except maybe indirectly.
It may not be showing up in all regions yet, but is showing up in the U.S.
