It seems that ft has a PlayBook version of their webapp in the works but haven't officially announced it yet. The link app.ft.com now seems to work in the web browser and it specifically says Ft PlayBook addition! I have to clear cache though if I want to reopen the link else I get an error msg. Hopefully they make it official soon!

I tried it and got an page that downloaded the articles for offline reading. But then on trying to get back into the app it tells me it can't find '/playbook' which is the same as what the sideloaded app has been telling me for a while.

Fingers crossed you are right and we will have a new FT app alongside the new Ecoomist app!

Yep, that is the link in the first post. It is working only to some extent for me. I need to clear the cache every time I exit and reenter the browser.

If you have a subscription to the FT website you can download the paper as it was printed.

Scroll down and on right hand side there should be a link: FT ePaper

You can either read on the screen or download the pdf.
