We'd love to, but so far we haven't been able to find stable, compatible libraries suitable for commercial apps and app store distribution. Most have GPLv3 licenses, which can't be used.

google drive has a weird feature for those who want to edit the file they have uploaded. they have to be converted files. for me they end in *.gsheet file format and then I am able to open the doc in another program then make changes then save it. This will modify the original file in the cloud.

I tried uploading my native xls file and prevented google drive from converting it and I ran into problems when trying to make changes to the original file.

Read somewhere that I can only do that with xls file format if I have premium google drive membership.

Not sure if this is whats preventing u from including it in files and folders.

also i noticed other programs (docs2go[android]) w/ google docs support allow u to open the file, make your changes, then save them. it appears while saving it makes two saves, one to the local file, then as it updates those changes to the google drive.

not sure if this info helps u or not but would love to see the ability to open files with files and folders, make changes, and have them updated to the original file on the cloud (w/o making copies of...)

    Release: 4.1.2
Review Body: doesn't cut, copy and paste as you says. useless. just spending 2 bucks

Are there any issues in the v4.1 release relating to copy & paste we need to know about?

    snip
None that I know of. Happy to confirm that I used c&p to move some files from my phone to PB via bridge yesterday, and also to c&p some other files around on my PB file system. No problems with mine on latest release.

Samba is only reason I'm holding off from purchase as many users use tablet for streaming movies over LAN

    Good question.

This is mostly due to our virtualized file system, which sits inbetween wherever your files are stored and the user interface/logic part of the app. It means F&F works pretty much the same whether you are working locally, in the cloud or inside a zip. It also allows you to cut, copy, paste from anywhere to anywhere and use all features (slide show, text viewer etc) regardless of how and where your files are stored. Furthermore it makes it possible for us to add new cloud services and other features relatively quickly, while maintaining stability of the app. All in all, it's quite a remarkable feature and has many advantages.

The drawback is - as you have noticed - a bit of performance. We improved the performance quite a lot in v4.0 and still more in v4.1. That said, there are still more avenues of improvement we are exploring.
