No it's not. I just downloaded it and it's definitely not just a shortcut link.
OK, my bad. Now if I could just delete the Shortcut without it being reinstalled by RIM....

The pull down refresh seems to work for other parts too.

this is junk. why use this? the web interface works fine and offers many more functions. what is the point of this? seriously. im not a troll here. i sincerely dont get the point of this app. please explain why the app is preferable to the browser interface?
Until they get multi-tasking to the browser tabs, this will give one the ability to stream from a browser window and still surf around Facebook.

You don't always NEED an app for everything, but sometimes they can be useful for a variety of reasons. It's not a mandatory download, continue to use the web if that suits your needs...

    This begs the question:

How does App World select the apps for the "NEWEST" category?

geez... all these complaints over a free app that isnt even supposed to be out yet... you were willing to buy the pb knowing that a lot was missing... hoping things will come with updates. now you throw a tantrum...

although i will still probably use the web for fb most of the time... it's nice to get a quick flick through the news feed...

I definitely like this better than the shortcut to the web version.

i havent seen this covered but if you do a really long drag down with a finger in the facebook app it brings down a refresh option. just saying
    I'm not seeing the refreshing....

EDIT: Figured it out...I guess you have to start your scroll down well within the app. I was trying to swipe from the top to bring up a menu like some other apps.
