i had the same problem. My issue had to do with a shortcut in my favorites. I was opening the app from there causing it to open the old app( it must have stil, been associated with it since i put the shortcut there when i first installed facebook). After i deleted the shortcut from my favorites all is well.
So I just got the PB update.. Like other said here, it created two FB icons. I just deleted the old one. The app seems to just run at the same speed.. I tried the check in and got an error message.. it can't find anything, my PB gps seems to be doomed.
This two app's appearing is not a new thing for many apps. I guess a lot of peeps in this thread have not dealt with this on other updates which is fair enough. But it is somewhat "normal."
Works well - love the additions of everything so I'm happy. As for two icons; lord that happens with every other app that I have. Bloody annoying but simple fix: the new upgraded app will always appear at the end of your apps as the last icon on the "All" tab - just delete the old duplicate app that comes before it and you will be fine. But I really wish RIM would release a bug fix for this.
Good morning everyone....I had a quick question. I just upgraded to FB 2.0 on my playbook and I tried to upload a video using the media link. When it finished uploading, it said that it was successful, but it needed to process in the servers.
I then proceeded to wait about 20 min or so, but when I went to check, the video wasn't in my feed <or the uploaded video section>. My question is: is this a known bug or am I not doing it quite right...?
A new version just became available (2.00.986) havent found any difference though, probably related to the BBM6 in app experience which is being released too...
+1. I just got the FaceBook update to .986 and the BBM .125 version from AppWorld. Everything went well on both devices and things are running smooth. I only had to add an additional GPS permission for FaceBook most likely for Places & Events. Other than that no differences that I can see yet.
