Hi all, I just downloaded IM+ for the playbook and it opens through Android Player, why? its on APP world, should be official for the playbook or all the apps downloaded go to android player?
    Thanks,
    Nico

Developers can add Android apps to App World. RIM has made tools for Android developers to convert .apk files into .bar files, then submit them to App World.

You'll find native, AIR, and Android files for PlayBook in App World.

There is actually nothing defective about this. APP world contains a mixture of native (QNX) Playbook applications in addition to ported (converted for Playbook) Android applications intended specifically for the Playbook's Android player. RIM (Blackberry) wants us to have a seamless experience and to be able to get everything from the same place.
So, what you are seeing is that im+ is actually an Android application, not a "real" Playbook app.

You might also want to know that unless something in a Screenshot of the app gives it away, Rim does not permit the developer to disclose that the app is android-based. They don't want to distinguish native/android in appworld.
