We all heard that MoboTab, (official maker of dolphin browser) removed Dolphin Browser from App-World. However, we didn't think they would officially release it! They did! Check it out here!

Compared to the PB native browser, very much so. It's an acquired taste.

Based on report, looks like they need to change some code.
It's supposed to be really slow.

As long as it doesn't go native it will stays slow forever.
The android Player is just way too slow to play a browser fast enough to compete with the native developed ones.

At least it has Search/Find on Webpage! More than the "fast" browsers do!

Dudes... Why this browser always gets hyped is beyond me. It was never much good on android either, where it started.

I honestly do not even see the need for an alternate browser. The stock browser in the PB is one of the best I have ever encountered on any portable device. It is ultra fast, has all the options (at least I) would ever need, flash, etc.

I agree. I use Dolphin more and more. Performance is good. I always restart Playbook after installing Android apps. They seems to run better. Dolphin has many cool features and it is more complete browser than stock browser. I would not say that Dolphin has dial up performance.

I guess I should remove the prior "appworld" Dolphin and install this one.

I like this browser, I use it specifically to load mobile sites since the PlayBook browser will not in most cases. (I like certain mobile sites better than the full site on the PlayBook sometimes) I set Dolphin to IPhone not Ipad This gives me access to mobile sites with no lag in the dolphin Browser. For full sites there is no beating the PlayBook Browser for now...

No but there is a browser on android that streams Hulu just fine. It's flash video browser.
