A while ago, one of the updates to the box.net app had some problems downloading so when they got it fixed they offered those that got it a free upgrade to the 50GB account. On the surface this looked great. Today I tried to load some movies to box.net and found that even though I have 50GB of space, I'm limited to uploading files of 100MB or less at one time.

50GB of space is great, but it will take a heck of a long time to use it up 100MB at a time.

This is so aggravating! I thought box.net would be great for storing movies and sharing them with friends, but not at 100MB a time. Definitely prefer dropbox.

Funny, I am sure I saw people say they were able to upload large files...

Some one check on this please?

Neither Box.net nor Dropbox currently support resumable/chunked uploads, so if something goes wrong at 98% you'll have to start all over again...

Dropbox has a max file upload size of 300mb via the website or mobile/3rd party apps. Max upload from the desktop app is unlimited, as is max download size to any client.

Google Docs does support chunked uploads and a max file size of 10 GB.
