Is there any way to delete my credit card info? I don't like the idea of having my info stored in a device. I have searched and on the BB phones, it seems that there is no way of doing this but I'm not sure if that is the same for the playbook.

If I do create a new BB ID, would I still be able to transfer my purchased apps?

It seems very unlikely to me that your credit card info is actually stored in the device itself. I suspect it's associated with your BBID (App World account). I could be wrong.

If you create a new BBID, you will not be able to transfer your apps, as far as I know... they're associated with the BBID.

Why do you want to create a new one? You can change the email address on the existing one, or the name, so there may be no need for you to do that.

Credit card and other payment information is stored on RIM's secure servers. If you really want to remove your credit card info, just sign onto the web version of App World by clicking the sign in link at the top of the page and change your payment options.

You will need to update the info should you wish to purchase an app in the future. Also be aware that it can take up to an hour for your updated information to be processed fully before you can complete a purchase in PB App World.

I believe this is correct. There should be no concern about losing your device compromising your credit card info.

Saved my ! Mother-in-law was about to return to Serbia with Playbook and APPS I bought her, and I couldn't get the Credit Card off - dangerous thing there, as she would be niave about it.

we have no payment information on the web site and yet today, on the PB, the credit card information "volunteered" to pay for an app. how can this be controlled?
