ive never played either and am looking for the best fps, graphic-rich game. it must have good-controls.

Please compare and contrast these two (or suggest a third, if ive missed something). i cant tell much from the youtube vids ive found.

well, dead space is 3rd person, you don't get to use a lot of guns, controls are rather awkward, but the story is so thrilling and scary.

nova's story so far is quite regular, dialogues aren't done very well, but the gameplay is amazing, it's 1st person, you get to use many kinds of weapon, controls are customizable, you can even switch to left-hand control..

Buy both. Dead Space is a survival 3rd person shooter and thriller and NOVA is a Quake/Doom ish FPS. Both are done well, just depends on what you want. Dead Space requires more thinking and will kill you more often the first time through. In NOVA listening or reading the story is optional and doesn't seem to add to the experience at all.

NOVA also has multiplayer which is a real hoot. And I suck at it.

in that case, buy them all!! After all, you just need to buy one more (modern combat).

Well i have both.. well i have all EA and Gameloft games and to be honest they might look the same but are totally different gameplay... NOVA 2 has a similar gameplay like HALO and on the other hand Dead Space, well is like dead space , But my point is that gameplay is totally different, I recommend both.

If you r into fps PvP, Get nova. The online matchup for other players works well.

Deadspace is single player only (depends which you like).

Seems NOVA is better if you like lots of weapons and popping away rounds and laser fire and explosions... Deadspace lets you shoot a few rounds and boom, your out, all you got left is a chainsaw (???).

    Hope this helps.

NOVA is fun man, seriously - I was blown away how well this game plays on the Playbook. It's comparable to Halo on the Xbox 360.
