it would be great for tethering. although the mobile site is lite and fast, i too would like to see a nice App.

It would be especially AWESOME if there was a tablet (and phone) optimized forum experience. At the moment the mobile forum experience has ant-sized text.

swipe down menu is customizable in an app, but not in a webpage. You could swipe down from the top bezel to go to forums, news, store, etc. Also, with an app it could be set so that you are only loading the content, not the entire web page, thus lowering your data consumption for if you're tethering with a small data plan.
