How did you get it? I'm not seeing it on App World and Citrix is saying it's not due to come until late next week.
Edit: App World is showing that it was recently updated, but I'm not seeing it yet.
works for me. wow this is crazy.
how come i cant post pics of it?
Yea I just got a notification so I downloaded it. We know how App World can be. It will show up soon
Yeah, it finally kicked in. I've just been waiting soooo long, I got carried away :D. Finally I can connect remotely to work with my PB, awesome!
So jealous of this app. It looks so slick. I'm not running citrix. I use RDP only, and so hoping to see some kind of RDP client hit the storefront some day...
For now I'm running VNC through VPN and it works ok, but it's not ideal.
how do u get the full version? and can u download internet explorer or anything? this is amazing.
oops - deleted, wrong post
Finally! Got it working with my company's systems! Thanks Citrix!
For me I had to start the Xenapp Desktop first to get apps to work, couldn't run the app directly from the Xenapp server apps page using 1.0 citrix reciever.
Doesn't look like you can access local Playbook files though, Anyone able to do so ?
Awesome!! Just saw this, my company will be ecstatic! Another wish come true:D
trying to remote login to my workstation.
at the windows xp login window, i can enter my username but it won't type out capitals. i think it wont recognize the shift key of the pb keyboard.
I downloaded and installed... Unfortunately there is still no Standard Gateway support so I can't use it yet.... For now I'll keep using the Android bar file on OS 2 which has worked perfectly for me... And keep waiting for the feature in the native Playbook app...
just tried it with my work citrix remote system....works perfectly! better then the android version i had sideloaded, handles multitasking way better and very fast in response!
Yeah, I was commenting on the Citrix webpage and saying that to one person who thought it would be better just to use the Android version. The ability to have multiple apps open within the Citrix receiver is awesome. I had 6 Citrix applications open and you can quickly switch between them all. This is in contrast to the iPad and Android version where you need to go back to the Citrix Home and there's no way to maintain multiple applications within the receiver.
I also got Citrix working through tethering (although not through bridge).
The PlayBook just became 1000% more useful as a work tool!
CB front page worthy news. I was sooo happy when I saw this last night. Now it authenticates with my work system and makes my PB the business tool it is supposed to be (well, almost....). :D
How would you anticipate it working through bridge? The bridge is only good for bridge browser, email, calendar, etc. - this is a standalone app. Am I missing something?
Bridge will allow for the use of all applications except for Blackberry App World. Well most applications.
Wow! Never noticed that before. Works great (well, not for Citrix, but for most other apps)! Thanks! Saves me the trouble of tethering for most apps!
Remember to leave an accurate review on AppWorld with the new update. I looked into the app yesterday and existing reviews were deplorable!
Yeah I am disappointed. They (Citrix) have been saying since summer about it working over the bridge connection. With all the push back they kept saying we are adding even more features. Now that has bee finally released after several months of push backs and NO BRIDGE!!! :(
I'm only able to authenticate with bridge, every time I try to launch an app, When it attempt to launch an app, I can see a brief send/receive transmission on my phone then it fails. Kind of sucks, but I'm glad I can finally remote in to my work PC.
It works fantastically. Honestly I don't need all my functions but being able to check in on work intranet on the go is a fantastic addition. Keep it up. Playbook still got a fight left in it!
This is cool! I can now remotely access my Citrix account with one of my customers. Outlook, Sharepoint, MS Office, etc. Can't tell me that it's just a $199 browser or paperweight.
