Clicked and dragged ebooks to the books folder on PlayBook, and found the Kobo reader does not see them.
Contacted BlackBerry, and they have no reader for the folder (unlike for pictures, music or docs).
Unbelievable--and they are not sure when they will have one.

Correct, you can't load a PDF or ePub into the PB and have it read from Kobo.
There is no DM sync for ePub too.
Honestly, this is one of the top 5 disappointments so far with my PB. I want to be able to read side-loaded ePub or .prc books. I hope someone comes up with an app to permit this soon! :(
The answer will come with the Android VM. Lots of good e-readers in the Android Market. For now.. have to travel with the Color Nook and the PB... Sigh.
I agree...I can not believe that the included Playbook ereader app "Kobo" can not access books in the ebook folder on the Playbook...
If anyone knows of a good Playbook Reader please let everyone on the forum know...or if they know of a way to get the Kobo reader to read books not purchased from Kobo also please let everyone on the forum know...
