Does anyone know what happened to the BluePlaylist App in App World? I downloaded it on one of my playbooks right after OS2.0 was released and went to download it on my other playbook last night and I could not find it in App World?
I came across this question and thought I would answer it for anyone who comes across it again. When the BluePlaylist app was first uploaded to the App World, it was unknowingly uploaded by Handster, an application distributor. Apparently, they took it upon themselves to convert a bunch of Android apps to Blackberry apps without permission. While our exposure on the App World was a good thing, although unexpected, Handster did not upload the newest version of the app. In an attempt to contact them about updating the app, they misunderstood our request and instead removed the app from the App World, claiming that they were in the process of repackaging the updated version for re-submission. It obviously did not happen, so I decided to repackage and submit the updated version of the app myself. It was just submitted for approval and could be back on the App World in 7-10 days (that is the average approval wait time).
Just letting you know that the BluePlaylist Blackberry app is now available on the App World. Keep in mind, though, that it only works on the Blackberry Playbook at the moment, so it is not available on Blackberry smartphones. However, you can also use the service on the web at http://blueplaylist.com/ or any Android device.
