My Alarm Clock includes nightstand mode feature and can be used as a bedside clock. Unfortunately, there is no option to allow notifications from certain people only, but thanks for the idea!

Well, it does have PB listed as Supported Devices on the webpage but I have a feeling it may be a "data entry" error in filling out the submission form. Or, if bb10 ever comes to the pb, maybe it will work. It does NOT show up in a search for "alarm" on the pb when looking at bbworld.
